Members, Affiliates and Friends,
Here we are, its July already and what a year we've had! The most exciting news I want to
share with you is the award the Ocean County WCR Chapter received, we are a GOLD LEVEL CHAPTER!
Some Stats from 2007 show: WCR is #12 of top 700 Women's professional organizations. There are 301
chapter Nationally. Average member is 54. Average experience in real estate is 18 years. Average Wcr members income
from real estate: $117,500 vs. $52,200 non WCR. WCR referrals from other members is 9600 annually.
Initially we thought our award was Silver but after some review, national notified us of our
GOLD AWARD. This is really an honor for our Chapter. I'd like to personally thank the members of the Ocean
County WCR 2008 Chapter Governing Board for assisting in putting together all the information from 2007. It was
that work, and our dedicated members/affiliates, that made this honor possible. I would also like to thank our
awesome Board office and especially our Executive leader Mary Ann Weisel for always supporting and encouraging our
Local Chapter!
We're looking forward to making our first awards from the Helen's Fund for educational
reimbursement of members. There's more on that inside, please read it. With discussions on the state level
regarding legislation to require continuing education for Realtors, creation of this fund and its disbursements
are very timely!
I'm pleased to announce that our President-elect, Lorraine Spinogatti will be heading to Chicago
next month for a national WCR meeting. I attended last year to gain a better understanding of what my role as Chapter
President would be. I learned so much more than that. It was really quite an inspiration. We'll look forward to hearing
from Lorraine about her trip and plans for 2009!
